 Thanksgiving Turkey Event 2020

On November 14, 2020, the Clayton County District Attorney’s Office, Hearts to Nourish Hope, and NOBLE partnered to bring turkeys, canned goods, produce, and other holiday essentials to the Clayton County community. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, many families faced food insecurity and unemployment at an unprecedented rate.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Drive event went on to feed a staggering 2,000 families in a single day! Check out the recap video to see how our amazing volunteers and partners spread holiday cheer in such uncertain times.

Not Just Another Day

As Covid-19 forced shutdowns around the world, many grappled with unemployment and food insecurity. Ordinarily, our food pantry serves around 300 families a week, now we are serving roughly triple that number.

Through community support and amazing volunteers, over 900,000 pounds of food were distributed from March to June alone. By collaborating with organizations such as the Clayton County District Attorney, Police Department, and various other groups we have been able to distribute over a million pounds of food throughout our community.

These numbers show how great the need is in our community.
